Parents and visitors are allowed to meet the inmates, after obtaining proper permission from the hostel authorities.
Sports, games and competions are conducted and prizes are awarded to the inmates at the end of every academic year.
Outdoor games facilities, such as volley ball, cricket, shuttlecock, ball-badminton and indoor games facilities, such as carom, chess, etc., are available in the hostel.
In the hostel library, about 300 books are available.
In the reading room Tamil and English newspapers are available.
